DMin program requirements

Applicants must submit:
Three References

  • Pastoral
  • Academic
  • Ministry Peer

Four Required Essays

  • Religious Autobiography
  • Statement of Experience
  • Statement of Purpose
  • 5-page paper on the topic of choice

To qualify for the program, applicants holding a theological master’s degree that is not an MDiv degree will submit a 500-word case study.

  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions.
  • $75 non-refundable online application fee.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0

DMin programs are designed for ministry leaders, so applicants typically need to be in a ministry setting.
This setting can include congregations, ecclesiastical supervisory roles, or other ministry-related positions. Dmin programs require a minimum of two years of full-time ministry experience after completing the MDiv or equivalent.

Demonstrated Leadership: Applicants may need to demonstrate leadership skills and experience in their ministry context.

TOEFL/IELTS: If English is not your first language, you may need to provide TOEFL or IELTS scores.

The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program @ Destiny requires 48 credit hour

Program Structure: 5 core courses, 2 elective courses, and a final project or dissertation.

Core Courses: These courses cover fundamental theological and ministerial knowledge.
Elective Courses: These courses allow students to specialize in a particular area of ministry.
Research Methodology: Class to conduct final research project
