MASTER IN WOMEN’S STUDIES
Women’s Studies is interdisciplinary. It relates to and exists within historically defined and newly emerging disciplines. The goal is to critically question foundational tenets of knowledge. It asks what counts as knowledge and whose knowledge counts in matters concerning women. As such, the field concerns itself with rethinking and redefining core assumptions about women, gender, race, class and sexuality in ways that identify and redress social, historical, economic, political and cultural inequalities. The field directs itself to developing critical knowledge and implementing world-building practices of justice and equality in national and international contexts. Majors and minors in Women’s Studies thus engage in innovative and scholarly history, theory, research and activism across a broad band of academic study toward what is proposed as feminism’s broader project of creating new kinds of questions, forms of expression, representation, knowledge and epistemology. To be credited, a course must be completed with a passed grade.
A final project is required for graduation. Students will write a research paper or Thesis ad defend upon course completion.

Students will be fully prepared for the professional career of a counselor. Significant scholarly activities are emphasized using diverse learning experiences that reflect the standards of an accredited program.
MASTER IN PEACE AND CONFLICT STUDIES
Peace Studies is a new interdisciplinary, problem-preventive and solving oriented Program. The problem it addresses is simple to pose: How can we humans manage the conflicts between us so that these conflicts result in justice and creative development rather than destruction.
These conflicts may be international (such as the conflict between Israel-Arab conflicts) or within a society (such as the conflict between rich and poor, ethnic groups, and families), or personal (between roommates or within ourselves). Hence, the problem of managing conflict exists in three spheres: In our own personal lives (within us and in our personal relationships), in local communities and the society in which we live, and in our relations with other states and nations in the world.
